Remember the scandal involving popular streamer Guy “Dr Disrespect” Beahm, who was accused of harassing a minor? Following the allegations, his studio, Midnight Society, announced that they no longer needed him and would continue developing their NFT shooter, DEADROP, without him.
However, Midnight Society has now announced its closure. The studio stated, “Today we are announcing that Midnight Society will be closing its doors after three incredible years. We are actively seeking other game studios that would be interested in providing employment opportunities for our talented team members.”
The studio expressed gratitude to its community but did not address the issue of refunding players who invested in the game’s development.
As for Dr Disrespect, he seems to be doing well. His YouTube channel has been remonetized, allowing him to earn revenue again.
