The STALKER series has always captured the imaginations of its fans, and the sequel is no different. Players are now trying to turn STALKER 2 into a vast, plotless sandbox where they can join any faction and explore the Zone in search of loot. This dream is becoming a reality with the release of the first mod for the sequel.
Introducing New Game Start – A Free Play Mode Attempt
The mod, titled New Game Start – A Free Play Mode Attempt, strips out the main story, introductory missions, and the character of Scythian. Instead, players can choose their starting location, faction, and gear before embarking on their own unique adventure in the Zone.
Early Stages and Future Improvements
It’s important to note that this is an early version of the mod, and as such, there isn’t a lot of content just yet. However, the creator has promised to actively improve and expand upon their work, adding more content and features in the future.
How to Get the Mod
You can download New Game Start – A Free Play Mode Attempt from the NexusMods website. The mod is designed to work with STALKER 2, which is available on both PC and Xbox Series.
