The cult horror games “Dino Crisis” and “Dino Crisis 2” are now available on PC through GOG. Each game is priced at $10, with a discounted bundle of both games available for $17.
These games are part of GOG’s Classics Preservation program, ensuring compatibility with current and future versions of Windows without DRM protection.
The original “Dino Crisis” follows Agent Regina as she investigates a secret military project. During her mission, she discovers that research into a clean energy source has been abandoned due to its impracticality.
In “Dino Crisis 2,” this energy source, known as “Third Energy,” is deemed too unpredictable. Players embark on a rescue mission to retrieve research data and search for survivors.
Both games draw heavily on classic Resident Evil gameplay mechanics, featuring fixed camera angles and intense dinosaur encounters. Resource management, including ammo and healing items, is a key aspect of the gameplay.
The GOG versions come with several enhancements, such as all localizations, an easy difficulty level, an improved DirectX renderer, and new graphics settings. They also support modern controllers, including DualSense, DualShock 4, and Xbox controllers.
GOG has previously released several classic Capcom games, including the original “Resident Evil 2” and “Resident Evil 3” in August and September 2024, respectively.
