IGN has recently published an 11-minute extended gameplay walkthrough for the highly anticipated action-adventure game, Tides of Annihilation. This game was announced during the Sony State of Play event and will also be released on Xbox Series X/S.
Game Overview
Tides of Annihilation is a single-player, narrative-driven title set in a twisted version of modern London, cataclysmically altered by an otherworldly invasion. Players take on the role of Gwendolyn, humanity’s lone survivor, who embarks on a legendary quest through London’s iconic environs to unravel a mystery that will determine the fate of reality itself.
Gameplay Features
The gameplay video showcases our heroine Gwendolyn and her companion Ninian as they search for fragments of the Holy Grail. They will eventually face off against a boss named Mordred. The game features:
- Spectral Knights: Players can summon spectral knights to aid in battles.
- Vertical Levels: The game includes vertical levels in the form of gigantic knights roaming the landscape.
- Boss Battles: Players will encounter unforgettable bosses, each with distinct abilities.
Development and Release
Tides of Annihilation is being developed by Eclipse Glow Games, a Chengdu-based studio. The game is inspired by the legend of King Arthur and features a unique dual-knight fighting system. It will be available on PS5, PS5 Pro, PC (via Steam and the Epic Games Store), and Xbox Series X/S.
