Dota 2 has received a huge patch 7.38, titled “Wandering Waters,” which almost completely changes the game.
Major Map Changes
The map has been significantly changed, introducing new rivers that flow directly through the map and provide bonuses if you cross them. These rivers not only alter the landscape but also offer strategic advantages for players who navigate them effectively.
Lotus Pools
Lotuses in ponds have been revamped. To pick up a lotus, you need to “go into the pond,” but if there is an enemy there, you won’t be able to take it. This change adds a new layer of strategy to the game, as players must now contend with enemies to secure these valuable items.
Redesigned Neutral Items
The system of obtaining neutrals has been redesigned. Neutral items are now crafted from two parts, each of which gives bonuses. This new crafting system allows for more customization and strategic planning when it comes to item builds.
Roshan’s New Location
Roshan is now in the center of the map and has a visible timer. This central location makes Roshan a more contested objective, encouraging more frequent and intense battles for control.
Tormentor Changes
The Tormentor is now alone, and its timings and rewards have been changed. This update makes the Tormentor a more significant and challenging objective for players to tackle.
Return of Satyrs
Satyrs are back among neutral creeps, adding more variety to the jungle and providing new opportunities for farming and strategy.
New Hero Attributes
Sixteen heroes have received new attributes, which will impact their gameplay and mechanics. These changes aim to balance the game and provide fresh experiences for players.
Improved Gameplay and Mechanics
The patch also includes numerous improvements to gameplay and mechanics, enhancing the overall experience for players.
