EA CEO Andrew Wilson on Nintendo Switch 2

EA CEO Andrew Wilson commented on the recent announcement of the Nintendo Switch 2 during a Q&A session following the company’s third-quarter fiscal 2025 financial report.

New Console, New Opportunities

The arrival of a new console on the market is always beneficial for us. It gives us the opportunity to attract new players. Historically, our franchises have performed well on Nintendo platforms. We expect that products like FC, Madden, and others can get a real boost on this platform, as they have in the past.

Expanding EA’s Portfolio

While EA has traditionally supported Nintendo consoles, many of the company’s technically demanding titles have bypassed the Switch. The Switch 2’s more powerful hardware could change that.

Potential for EA Franchises

We expect that the emergence of a new high-quality console that provides access to new players and communities will benefit our IP. Despite the cautious wording typical of such speeches, the statements from the head of EA indicate that the company plans to expand its portfolio of titles on the Nintendo platform.
