EA has officially confirmed that the next Battlefield game will be released in fiscal year 2026 (by March 2026).
After announcing the release date of GTA 6 — May 26, 2026, EA was relieved to say that it now has more space to launch the game. A full announcement of the new Battlefield is expected soon.
Also in his podcast, Kojima himself confirmed that the release of GTA 6 affected the release date of Death Stranding 2. According to Kojima, the game was originally supposed to be released in September, but the date was changed so as not to clash with the potential GTA wave. As a result, Death Stranding 2 is scheduled for June 26, 2025.
