Milos “mhL” Knasijak Moves to TALON Bench

Milos “mhL” Knasijak has been moved to the TALON bench and is now “free to explore options without a buyout and participate in training/official matches of other teams (with prior club approval),” the 22-year-old sniper reported on X.

Performance and Contributions

During his time with the team, mhL was their highest-rated player, averaging an impressive rating of 1.16 in 44 maps played. His sharp shooting skills and strategic gameplay made him a key player in many of TALON’s matches.

Unsuccessful Start of the Oceanic Lineup

This decision was made against the backdrop of the unsuccessful start of the Oceanic lineup, which was formed in August last year. Despite the initial high hopes for the new roster, the team faced several challenges and setbacks.

Shanghai Major Asia RMR Performance

TALON were able to qualify for the Shanghai Major Asia RMR and surprised with a victory over FlyQuest in the first match. However, subsequent losses to Rare Atom and Lynn Vision prevented them from reaching the Major itself. This was a significant blow to the team’s aspirations and led to internal discussions about potential changes.

Online Tournaments and Rankings

Before the Asia RMR, the team also participated in several online tournaments in Europe but won only 4 out of 12 matches. TALON is currently ranked 246th in the Valve World Rankings (32nd in Asia) and 108th in the HLTV Rankings. These rankings reflect the struggles the team faced in gaining momentum and consistency.

Player Absences and Replacement

mhL and Aaron “AZR” Ward missed four official TALON matches in 2024, where the team played in Oceanic tournaments with Ewan “sterling” Moore and Liam “malta” Schembri. The absence of key players affected the team’s performance and highlighted the need for a more stable lineup.

Future Prospects for mhL and TALON

As mhL explores new opportunities, TALON is likely to undergo further changes to improve their standings. The current TALON lineup looks like this:

  • Aaron “AZR” Ward
  • Corey “nettik” Brown
  • Jared “hazr” O’Brie
  • Christian “ADDICT” Pendleton
  • Daniel “djL” Narancic (coach)
  • Milos “mhL” Knasijak (on the bench)

With these adjustments, both mhL and TALON hope to find success in their respective paths moving forward.
